Floorheat Australia
In Slab Heating
Specification
for Off Peak II or Time of Use Tariff
(SLS2002)
IMPORTANT:
The Electrical Schedule details Electrical Loadings, Thermostat Types and
any other accessories such as Contactors or Time Switches included in the
quotation.
Please refer to Thermostat Specification.
The Electrical Schedule/s together with
this sheet must be passed on to your Electrical Contractor and all
other relevant Trades, before you accept any quotation. This will
enable them to furnish you with quotations for any additional work which
will be required. Failure to do so may result in extra costs being
incurred by you.
General
Any deviflex™ quotation is based on the
following:
- The heating cables are designed to be installed on to L72/L82/L92
(F72-F92) steel mesh.
- If rods or steel bars are used instead,
a light gauge/roof safety mesh must be laid within the areas to be
heated. This is required to ensure correct support and spacing of the
heating cables.
No allowance has been made for supply or installation of any mesh, a
price can be supplied if requested.
- Floorheat (Australia) (hereafter referred to as FHA) will test the
heating cables before, during and after fixing. FHA will also monitor the cables during the concrete
pour for severe damage i.e. should the cable be cut.

Electrical
Important - Please Note!
- FHA will leave each set of 'cold tails'
protruding from a 20mm conduit, if more than one heating element is installed per zone, a separate conduit will be provided
for each element. It is the responsibility of the Site Electrical Contractor to extend these
conduits to the connection point.
 |
Notice that for each set
of Cold Tails (each heating element) an extra conduit has been
installed. Also note that the sensor probe conduit is installed
between a cable loop. |
-
FHA will position the 'cold tails' at the
agreed thermostat locations. If preferred Thermostat locations are not received prior to installation, FHA will position the
cold tails at their discretion. If any re-location of the cold tails is required, this will be done on a
'do and charge' basis. A written work order is required prior to commencement of any
re-positioning.
- FHA have Included in the quoted price
the design, supply and installation/fixing of the deviflex™ Heating Cables only. All Thermostats, Contactors or Time Switches
quoted, will be supplied only, it is the responsibility of the Site Electrical Contractor
to install and connect them.
- Contactors are required for individual
zones were the loads are greater then the current carrying capacity of the
thermostat supplied.
- FHA will install a separate 16mm conduit
into the slab, this is for the remote floor sensor probe (see next point).
It is the responsibility of the Site Electrical Contractor to install a
conduit from the thermostat/connection point to this conduit. For further
information regarding the sensor probes see the Thermostat
Specifications.
- The Site Electrical Contractor must
insert the sensor probe, (which is located in the Thermostat box) into the
conduit. The sensor must then be connected to the Thermostat. This conduit
must remain accessible for the future removal of the sensor probe, if
required for servicing.
- All heating systems must be connected to
a 30 mA Residual Current Device.
Please ring 02 9997 2191 in order to arrange
your preferred date for installation. Please give at least 10 to 15
working days notice where possible. Priority is given on a 'first in first
served' basis.
