NOTE:
devireg™ 130,131 & 132 Thermostats do not fit standard mounting brackets or wall boxes. If required plastic wall boxes can be purchased from Floorheat (Australia) P/L, or Clipsal 155PM or PDL 1547 may be used instead. Floor Sensors Probes must be installed into a separate conduit that will always be accessible if removal of sensor is ever required. Please read the installation and wiring literature supplied in the thermostat boxes, prior to starting.

It is important that the location of all Thermostats and Control Switches are confirmed with your Electrician to ensure that their location is in accordance with AS/NZ 3000 Wiring Rules - in particular their location due to their IP Rating and Control Switch requirements.

Sensor Probe Conduit
The Site Electrician must install a conduit for the sensor probe {minimum 13mm OD} for all floor sensing thermostats, from the thermostat/connection point to one of the following:-

  1. For In-Slab Heating - to the 16mm conduit left protruding from the slab.

  2. For In-Screed Heating - down the wall with a wide radius bend across the floor approximately 50mm into the room.
  3. For Thin Floor Heating - down the wall with a wide radius bend across the floor approximately 50mm into the room. NB: The conduit {minimum 13mm OD} may need to be partially recessed/grooved into the sub-floor to allow for acceptable screed thickness over.

  4. For Under Timber Floor Heating - down the wall with a wide radius bend under the floor approximately 50mm into the room.
The sensor conduit must have no more than 2 large radius bends between the floor and the connection point. The end of the conduit must always remain accessible if removal/insertion of the sensor is ever required in future. Please note, the sensor conduit may be taken into a connection box where it may be extended up to 50 metres to the thermostat location. The sensor must be run in a separate conduit - it must be separated from other cabling. It is the responsibility of the Site Electrician to insert the sensor probes included in the bottom of the Thermostat boxes.

Additional Installation Information

Sensor probe conduit

Notice the conduit that holds the sensor probe is installed between the cable loops and is sealed to prevent sand/cement/water from damaging the probe. [in screed installation pictured]

Contactors
It is also the responsibility of the Site Electrician to install and connect any Control Circuit Contactors supplied. Contactors are supplied where the total load in a zone exceeds the current carrying capacity of the thermostat.

devireg™ 130's & devireg™ 530's are Floor Sensing Thermostats:
devireg 130's are 15 Amp - IP 30 - Wall Mounted Electronic Floor Sensing Thermostats

devireg 530's are 15 Amp - IP 31 - Flush/Recessed Wall Mounted Electronic Floor Sensing Thermostats
These thermostats are designed to be mounted on the wall, usually within the area to be heated. They may also be mounted in a Cupboard or Vanity if preferred, as they do not sense air temperature.

devireg™ 131's & devireg™  531's are Electronic Air Sensing Thermostats:
devireg 131's are 15 Amp - IP 30 - Wall Mounted Air Sensing Thermostats
devireg 531's are 15 Amp - IP 30 - Flush/Recessed Wall Mounted Air Sensing Thermostats

These thermostats must be mounted in an area free from draughts and direct sunlight, on a wall within the heated area. As these thermostats do sense air temperature, they are normally installed 1.5m above floor level.

devireg™  132's & devireg™  532's are Combined Floor & Air Sensing Thermostats:
devireg 132's are 15 Amp - IP 30 - Wall Mounted Combined Floor/Air Thermostats

devireg 532's are 15 Amp - IP 31 - Flush/Recessed Wall Mounted Combined Floor/Air Thermostats
These thermostats must be mounted in an area free from draughts and direct sunlight, on the wall within the area to be heated. As these thermostats sense both floor and air temperature, they are normally installed 1.5m above floor level.

devireg™  132's & devireg™  532's are Combined Ceiling & Air Sensing Thermostats:
devireg 132's are 15 Amp - IP 30 - Wall Mounted Combined Ceiling/Air Thermostats
devireg 532's are 15 Amp - IP 31 - Flush/Recessed Wall Mounted Combined Ceiling/Air Thermostats

These thermostats must be mounted in an area free from draughts and direct sunlight, on the wall within the area to be heated. As these thermostats sense both ceiling and air temperature, they are normally installed 1.5m above floor level.

devireg™  330's are 16 Amp Remote Capillary Floor Sensing Thermostats:
devireg 330's - IP 30 -
are designed for din rail mounting, they should be installed in a suitable enclosure, in a cupboard or on a switchboard or sub board.

devireg™  540 is a 16 Amp Flush/Recessed Wall Mounted Electronic Programmable Clock/Stats:
devireg 540 Flush/Recessed Wall Mounted Clock/Stats - IP 30 -
are able to sense either Floor only, Air only or Floor & Air temperatures depending on your requirements. They are used to control 'demand heating' systems and enable the preferred 'comfort level' to be achieved automatically - you just program the temperatures you want and when - it does the rest. Please refer to the instructions for D530/31/32's above for relevant mounting information.
